Speaking Engagements
Despite my introverted tendencies, I love public speaking! I began performing in theatre, dance, and music at the age of 4. Overtime music became my main interest and I grew accustomed to regularly playing in various ensembles and solos. Nevertheless, high school is where I truly honed my skills. I joined the speech and debate team for two years and competed in U.S. Extemporaneous Speaking and Dramatic Interpretation. Traveling across my home state nearly every Saturday and enduring long hours of waiting just to speak for less than 10 minutes teaches you a lot about preparation and motivation.
Since then, I have spoken across three continents ranging from academic conferences, nonprofit workshops, and guest lecturing. I am not simply a storyteller, but a motivator that speaks from real life experiences about managing disappointment, mastering the “pivot”, and making sense of the choices we make, even when they look strange to others. With an aim to connect with people across regions, age, and background, I hope to ignite a confidence and fervor to keep moving forward.
